It goes without saying that the San Antonio Food Bank has done extraordinary work serving those in need during this time, but the need is continuing to grow. South Texas Blood & Tissue Center is calling on us all to give blood and help prevent a secondary public health emergency. The Children's Shelter. The City of San Antonio Faith Based Initiative office sent out an immediate needs text for The Children's Shelter. For the last year, The Children’s Shelter has been the intake agency for children removed from homes by Child Protective Services. To care for these children, they need more of those hard to find cleaning, hygiene and PPE items. Click here for more details.

Purchased or handmade masks are needed for hospitals, first responders, social service, and many other organizations. You can make them, buy material to donate or search your closets and garage to see if you have some laying around the house. Drop them off at University United Methodist Church's office (5084 De Zavala Rd.) Monday-Wednesday, 8am-noon, or donate them directly to an organization in need.
