About the Speaker

Dr. Savannah Beauregard serves as the Chief of Veterinary Medicine at the Animal Defense League (ADL) of Texas in San Antonio. A graduate of Western University of Health Sciences, Dr. Beauregard brings over seven years of experience in non-profit shelter medicine within Texas. Her early career included work in mixed animal practice, where she developed expertise in herd health—skills she routinely applies to the shelter environment. Dr. Beauregard is highly regarded for her ability to build trust with both her team and pet owners, fostering a supportive and positive atmosphere. She possesses a strong commitment to the treatment and management of infectious diseases in shelter settings, with a focus on continuous improvement and evidence-based practices at ADL. Dr. Beauregard is dedicated to collaboration, working closely with colleagues and local shelter partners to enhance the welfare of pets in San Antonio and the surrounding region.
