Program: Officer Patrick Des Rosiers, SAPD Tactical Medic Unit
Join us to to learn about the current scams happening in San Antonio!
Officer Des Rosiers joined the San Antonio Police Department in September of 2018, entering the SAPD Police Academy. While in the police academy, Officer Des Rosiers served his class in the role of Class President. At the completion of the academy, Officer Des Rosiers earned the Top Academics award for his class. Once graduated, Officer Des Rosiers was assigned to the North Patrol C Shift “Dogwatch” where he worked for 2 years. While working “Dogwatch”, Officer Des Rosiers aided in numerous arrests, assisted with training new cadets who were completing their ride-alongs, and served as the shift representative on the San Antonio Police Officer Association Board. Officer Des Rosiers joined the North SAFFE unit in May of 2020 where he currently is engaged in community policing and helping improve community/police relations. While on the department, Officer Des Rosiers has joined two secondary units. Utilizing his prior EMS skills and experiences Officer Des Rosiers joined the SAPD Tactical Medic Unit where he can help provide medical care to officers and citizens in areas that EMS may not be able to respond. He also became a member of the Mobile Field Force, who are utilized for crowd control during large events and gathering. Officer Des Rosiers is currently working towards his Intermediate Police Officer’s license through continuing education classes set to improve his knowledge and skillsets as an officer.

We will be discussing different methods scammers attempt to gain access to accounts and obtain personal information. We will go over how to report incidents if you are scammed and what to expect from the police.
