Brigadier General Patrick R. Michaelis ‘93, a distinguished military leader and alumnus of Texas A&M University, has been appointed as the next Commandant of the Corps of Cadets. After graduating from Texas A&M in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in history, he entered the Army as a Second Lieutenant of Armor. Throughout his decorated military career, General Michaelis has held various command roles at renowned locations such as Fort Hood, Fort Lewis, and Redstone Arsenal. He has also served in leadership positions in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, showcasing his expertise in combat situations.
