Stephanie Reyes '22

Stephanie Reyes is President and Chief Executive Officer for the Real Estate Council of San Antonio (RECSA), an organization comprised of technical experts in the commercial real estate industry that help shape policy that promotes affordable and responsible development. In this role, she drives the strategic vision and day-to-day operations for an organization that represents a $50.4 billion industry in San Antonio. 

Over the past 20 years, Stephanie has held leadership positions in news media, non-profit organizations and in local government. Prior to joining RECSA, Stephanie was Vice President of Public Policy for the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Assistant City Manager for the City of Brownsville, Interim Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association - Rio Grande Valley Chapter, and News Producer and Reporter for KGBT Action 4 News in the Rio Grande Valley. She is also a certified Grant Professional. 

Stephanie graduated from the University of Texas at Brownsville with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree, from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Master of Public Administration degree, and from Texas A&M University at College Station with an Executive Master of Public Service and Administration degree. 

Stephanie has been actively involved in various local and regional community councils and committees, including but not limited to the Austin-San Antonio Corridor Council Executive Committee, CPS Energy Citizens Advisory Committee, San Antonio Water System Rate Advisory Committee, San Antonio Mobility Coalition Executive Committee, Transportation Advocates of Texas, San Antonio Business Coalition, San Antonio Climate Ready Advisory Committee, and the Promontory Point Homeowners Association Board of Directors. 

In 2021, Stephanie was appointed as 502d Air Base Wing Honorary Commander to Brigadier General Caroline M. Miller and Brigadier General Russell D. Driggers. She is also an alumni of the American Council of Young Professional Leaders Program, where she traveled to North Macedonia to represent the United States in 2024. 

In 2022, Stephanie made the Business Journal’s “Texas 100: Influential Professionals to Watch in 2022” and the San Antonio Business Journal’s “40 Under 40 for 2022.” 

Stephanie is married with two children, Jake and Madison. When not working, she is a Reagan Band Mom, traveling with her family or at Kyle Field cheering on the Aggies.
