About the Speaker

Born and raised in San Antonio, Michael is a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School, attended Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Fish Drill Team, Ranger Challenge, Ross Volunteers, Commanded Company I-1, and graduated with a degree in Political Science. Michael was commissioned as an Army 2nd Lieutenant in May of 2000 and graduated Army Rotary Wing Training in May 2021, flying the OH-58 Kiowa Warrior. He commanded units at the 82nd Airborne Division and the 101st Airborne Division, deploying to Iraq, Afghanistan and Kosovo; and retired from United States Army as a Major in October 2020. He opened Homewatch CareGivers of San Antonio North in January 2021 with a desire to help our senior aging population and to provide quality employment opportunities for individuals in and around the communities he grew up in. Michael is a volunteer at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Central Catholic High School, and The San Antonio Texas A&M Club. He is a board member for the First Friday Network and Alamo Chapter Case Manager Society and sits on the Texas Health and Human Services Aging Texas Well Advisory Committee. Michael is a Certified Dementia Care Specialist and Member of the Alzheimer's Association.
