Monday Lunch with Mark Crews '79

Join us Every Monday at Aggie Park for a time of Camaraderie

About the Speaker

While at Texas A&M, 1975-1979 Mark Crews was in the Corps of Cadets Huslin outfit. He was on the executive committee of Town Hall for 4 years and a Chairman at fish Camp in 1978.

He represented the Corps of Cadets at Boys State 1978 and was Commander of the FOW Cadre in 1978.

Mark was instrumental in having Huslin 1 as the first re-instated outfit under Commandant Brigadier General Rameriz in 2012. He has written the first comprehensive outfit book in the Corps entitled THE HUSLIN 1 STORY.

Mark is unique, not only in his seemingly unlimited ability to step in and volunteer in the Knights of Columbus and other non-profits in Boerne but is a gifted speaker with the rare ability to blend faith & business, humility & enthusiasm, sincerity and passion.

He speaks openly and honestly about his life challenges – being convicted of a felony in 2009, overcoming and then growing in his walk with Christ and re-igniting his Catholic Faith! Mark has been involved with KOLBE prison Ministry for the last 8 years. He speaks on his personal experiences.

In the words of Deacon Ken Nickel, “…his is a rare skill and is gifted as a speaker (voice, energy, sincerity, leader, enthusiastic, charisma and knowledge)! In my 26 year Air Force Career, 4 years in the White House and an executive at USAA, I have seen none better!”

A prisoner at the Torres Unit said, “I thought his magic came from his height, but as he spoke I began to see that it was not his height, but it was this man’s Spirit that demanded the attention of every single prisoner in the room!”
