About the Speaker

Brandon Neff ‘99 is the co-founder and CEO of SCAN13, an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) platform company focused on cyber risk. Brandon began his offensive cyber career at the National Security Agency (NSA), leading his team to win the Director’s Award for innovative support to global cyber operations. He also served as an executive staff officer to the NSA Director. Following his NSA work, Brandon was a Principal Strategy Consultant in Silicon Valley, where he advised corporate leadership teams on a range of strategy and risk
initiatives. Before joining the NSA, Brandon served with distinction as a US Air Force (USAF) Special Operations Intelligence officer supporting operations following the September 11th terrorist attacks. Brandon serves on private and public sector boards and has been an Adjunct Faculty in Economics and Cyber, at the University of Texas, San Antonio and the George Bush School of Public Service, respectively. He has been a featured speaker at the RSA Conference and has been summoned by the Texas House to testify on State cyber vulnerabilities. Brandon holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M and Master’s from Harvard. While at A&M he was a proud member of Corps of Cadets in Squadron 13 and Company E-2 and served as both Junior and Head Yell Leader. During his two years as Yell Leader, the Fightin’ Texas Aggie football team never lost a game on Kyle Field and won the Big12 South and Big 12 Conference Championships. His Corps of Cadets special units included Fish Drill Team, Parsons Mounted Cavalry, and Ross Volunteer Company. Brandon continues to serve Texas A&M in various capacities and recently completed his tenure as Chairman of the Corps of Cadets Association (CCA) Board of Directors and serves on the Association of Former Students Board of Directors’ Leadership Council.
