Monday Lunch | Curtis Donaldson '81

Join us Every Monday at Aggie Park for a time of Camaraderie

About the Speaker

Curtis Donaldson was born and raised in Valley Mills Texas, so a rural Texan by birth!

Donaldson graduated from Texas A&M University in 1981 from the Mays Business School and was a member of the Fightin Texas Aggie Band and the Ross Volunteers – Honor Guard for the Governor of Texas.

After graduation, he served 10 years in the Texas Army National Guard and worked for Conoco in Midland, Houston, Maljamar, NM, and San Angelo. Leaving corporate America, he started his own business in Georgetown, TX known as CleanFUEL USA, focusing on technology for the propane vehicle marketplace. After 25 years of running CFUSA, he sold the business and moved to Mason, TX.

As a community banker in Mason, he has worked tirelessly on initiatives such as Economic
Development, Chamber of Commerce, Mason Independent School District Committees,
Community Advocate Leadership Team, and helped spearhead the capital campaign to raise
$5.2M to help rebuild their burned county courthouse.

Texas A&M College of Medicine engaged Curtis to help them think through a Rural Medicine
Initiative strategy and eventually piloted that program in Mason County. The Mason County
pilot results were so good, the program spread to the five surrounding counties. Texas A&M
elected to take the program statewide and asked Donaldson to lead that charge. He is
passionate about changing the landscape of rural medicine and has been moved by the impact
the program is already having in so many communities.

Currently Curtis serves as the Executive Director for Rural Medicine at Texas A&M Naresh K.
Vashisht College of Medicine
and the program he helped launch in 2021 as a pilot is active in
50 counties that includes partnerships with medical providers, local school districts and
community stakeholder teams.

Curtis and his wife Mary reside in Art, Texas in Mason County where they landed their next
family medicine physician thanks to this program.
